Rituals
Our soul speaks in metaphors.
This is why we say that a picture is worth a thousand words. It transcends the liniar, analytical mind that breaks apart to understand cause and effect and instead offers a wholesome embodied experience that speaks to our souls. A metaphor leads not to more knowledge, rather to a deeper understanding.
The most ancient and sacred forms of communication are symbols, gestures, imagery and sounds. Our capacity to attune to metaphors through our embodied awareness opens the door to deeper wisdom. When we use symbols and rituals, we are skillfully engaging with the law of correspondence in our lives – as inside, so outside... Rituals are a form of doing that can actualize our sense of being.
Rituals are in fact rites of passage from one state of consciousness to another.
Whether we complete a cycle, whether we iniatiate new endevours or want to anchor new possibilities in our lives, rituals are temporary containers for an alchemical transformation - something old is transmuted into something new.
Rituals support conscious evolution as they enable us to actualize the deep image we have of ourselves and of the world.
Whenever we move from one stage of life to another, whenever we are completing a cycle or starting something new, whenever we want to embody a new form of organizing our life force, rituals support us to update the matrix that lies deep in our psyche and that organizes our life force and creative energy. This in turn allows us to act and show up in the world embodying this new form of being.
